Over at Celtic Park there have been some wild takes as the apparent second coming in Ange Postecoglou gives their support some hope for the season ahead.
Rangers remain favourites for the domestic crown this season but whilst things haven’t been up to the normal standards at Ibrox, there’s cause for optimism at Parkhead.

That said, there’s little doubt our friends to the east are getting mightily carried away with this week’s hot take amongst the most cringeworthy of the lot.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke announced his squad this week with Ibrox talent and Scottish wonderkid Nathan Patterson retaining his place.
Patterson, 19, might have a fight on his hands to break into Steven Gerrard’s team with captain James Tavernier ahead of him but that does little to play down the player’s prospects.
Alongside Chelsea star Billy Gilmour, Patterson is considered the breakthrough Scottish footballing talent and a potential superstar should he be managed correctly in the coming years.
Despite this – and amid that comically over the top enthusiasm from Parkhead – Celtic fans are calling for Tony Ralston to depose the Ibrox full-back.
Yes, the same Tony Ralston they’ve been watching through the cracks in their fingers for the last few seasons.
A workhouse undoubtedly, the notion that Tony Ralston can lace the boots of Nathan Patterson is either a desperate attempt at trolling or genuine delusion.
The latter has not been in short supply in the east end as of late and we’re betting some of these supporters genuinely believe this is a decent take.

And some of them say they aren’t getting carried away.
Nathan Patterson remains one of the national game’s most highly rated talents and that’s been recognised south of the border.
But until clubs are willing to put their money where their mouth is the laughs are going to keep on coming from Ibrox.
