Rangers’ opponents Brondby have been hit with multiple injury blows ahead of Thursday’s Europa League Group A meeting at Ibrox, according to Sports Mole.

Both teams are winless so far in the group stages with identical goal differences of -3, but the Danish champions have a point to their name while Steven Gerrard’s side are still stuck on zero.

The Gers still head into this fixture as favourites, though.

They are 123 places above Brondby in the UEFA club coefficient and despite dropping points at home to Hearts on Saturday, they have a much better domestic record so far this season.

Furthermore, the visitors have reportedly been hit with multiple injury blows ahead of the match [Sports Mole].

It’s claimed that none of Mads Hermansen, Peter Bjur, Mathias Greve or Rasmus Wikstrom will be fit enough to feature.

First-choice goalkeeper Hermansen remains out after missing their weekend win over Vejle BK with an ankle injury, while the versatile Bjur is also out despite returning from injury in a reserve match earlier this month.

Attacking midfielder Mathias Greve has a knock, while centre-back Wikstrom hasn’t recovered sufficiently from a shoulder problem that has kept him sidelined since late August.

Rangers won’t be at full-strength either, with the likes of Filip Helander, Ryan Jack and possibly Ryan Kent still out, but it’s a boost to see the visitors missing some key players, particularly their first-choice keeper.

In other news, major changes have reportedly been made to a controversial project and Rangers could be impacted.
