As is customary, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, provided an injury update during his pre-match press conference. His comments were then summarised on the club’s official Twitter account.
Two first team players were singled out. Eros Grezda and Connor Goldson.
Grezda, sustained a foot injury during Rangers’ mid-season training camp in Tenerife.
When a picture of the winger walking with the aid of crutches and wearing a protective boot surfaced on Twitter, it looked as though he may have sustained a serious injury.

Thankfully, though, it’s not quite as bad as it first looked.
Today, the manager confirmed he has started running again. Therefore, a return isn’t far away.

There was less positive news on Vice-Captain, Connor Goldson. That’s becoming a bit of a theme.
Gerrard confirmed that
What originally looked to be a niggle carried over from a congested December schedule, is clearly something reasonably significant.
Saturday’s match is the fourth fixture on the trot he will sit out.
It’s unlike the big centre-back, who barely missed a minute over the first half of the season.

He played such a big role over that period, and both the manager and the fans, want him back as soon as possible.
Therefore, there was some frustration amongst Bears, as well as a comparison with a recently departed teammate..
