Philippe Clement has a lot in common with Ruben Amorim in that his Rangers team needs as much work as the Man Utd boss’.
The January transfer window is never an easy time to rebuild a squad though with the Light Blues’ manager unlikely to get the reinforcements he needs.
Something else they have in common is that the most potent attacking threat for Rangers plays in the same position for Man Utd.

Amad Diallo brought down to earth but will be Man Utd’s dangerman
When the two sides faced off in the summer, Vaclav Cerny had not been signed yet, however, in the opposite team, it was Amad Diallo who was causing all the problems.
The former Ibrox loanee is starting to fulfil his potential, but even a hat-trick wasn’t enough to impress Amorim, via Man Utd’s official club media:
“He did a great job, it’s a great moment for a young kid to score a hat-trick for a club like this. But he needs to focus on the next match already,” said the Man Utd boss.
“The important thing is to win and he helped us to win. He’s doing a very good season. I’ve already said, you have to be careful with young kids. He did a really good job today.
“He has a lot to improve but this game is in the past and you have to prepare for the future. Football is like this and life is like this.”
How does Cerny compare to star man Diallo?
Clement, on the other hand, has only every thrown his full support behind Cerny who has been one of Rangers’ best signings in recent years.
The Czech winger has more than lived up to his reputation and, with 12 goals and seven assists in 33 appearances, he has the sort of return that Ryan Kent only managed once – in a full season.

Amad has become Utd’s most dangerous forward and his creativity is the main difference between him and Cerny in terms of a statistical comparison.
They might play in different leagues but the battle of the wingers could well decide who comes out on top at OldTrafford.
