Rangers fans group the Union Bears have released a new chant for supporters as the group pay homage to their love of the Ibrox club.

Named Since I was a boy I loved Rangers, the chant is the latest from the Union Bears group who continue to work relentlessly to further the atmosphere within Ibrox Stadium.

Singing about the love of the club since they were young, lines of the song also promise to ensure any future sons and daughters will follow the Famous in the years to come.

The lyrics to the new Rangers Union Bears chant is:

“Since I was a boy I loved Rangers, the club made for me and for you,

“I went to the ground with my father, since then I have followed on too,

“Now I am wiser and older, the passion still runs through and through,

“I’ll make sure my sons and my daughters, still defend the red, white and blue.”

Union Bears release new Rangers chant

The Union Bears have been prominent figures amongst the Rangers support ever since their inception in 2007 and they continue to drive the atmosphere within Ibrox on home games.

Situated in the singing sections of the Broomloan, there is much debate regarding their position within the ground with the group looking to be moved behind the goal and to expand throughout the lower tier stand.

This has been met with resistance by those who have traditionally used this area of the stadium and by the hierarchy of Rangers, who remain resistant to schemes such as safe standing.

However, Rangers do hope to increase the capacity of Ibrox Stadium by around another 700 or so seats with the club’s focus on improving disabled facilities and accessibility to the old ground.

Meanwhile, excitement is growing around Todd Cantwell.
