As Rangers showed Celtic who’s the boss on the pitch this weekend, UEFA were preparing to show them who the Kings of Scotland are off it.
The powers that be in European football added insult to injury regading the Parkhead club as they shifted one of their Europa League ties due to a clash with Rangers.

Celtic were originally set to face Hungarian side Ferencvaros at Celtic Park on matchday 4 (04/11) of the European competition.
However, due to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (Cop26) taking place in Glasgow between the 1st and 12th of November it’s been agreed that no home matches can take place in Glasgow between these dates.
This means the game was then moved to Matchday 3 (21/10) with Rangers set to play Danish Champions Brondby at Ibrox that evening.
But due to Police Scotland demands – where they cannot police home games for both sides on the same day – Celtic will now play on the Tuesday (19/10).
But any Celtic fans thinking they’d get the advantage of playing two days earlier have been dealt a blow by the news that the game will kick off at 3:30pm.
This is because of Champions League broadcasting rules which prevents Europa League matches being screened at the same time as games in Europe’s elite competition.
Broadcasters also have contracts regarding the screening of the match and Celtic have hilariously missed out.

This will come as a blow to Parkhead fans needing to work in the afternoon of the match but for Rangers fans, they can look forward to welcoming the Danes over 48 hours later.
It’s an extra wee cherry on top of what’s been an almighty disappointing weekend for our rivals as UEFA help ensure the Champions of Scotland continue unaffected.
Meanwhile, as the transfer window prepares to slam shut one major broadcaster is claiming interest remains in three key Rangers players.
