Rangers and Giovanni van Bronckhorst face a crucial seven days ahead as the urge for a right-winger remains high on the priority list, with reliable journalist Pete O’Rourke stating that the club is currently looking for replacements for the right-wing role.
The Gers have made two signings so far during the January window, with James Sands arriving on an 18-month loan deal from New York City, whilst John Souttar has also been secured on a pre-contract agreement from Hearts.

With the last week of the transfer window upon us, the Rangers faithful could be forgiven for not starting to panic regarding the lack of incomings during the first three weeks. Although recent comments from O’Rourke may give the fans something to get excited about.
“They’re actively looking for options on the right flank, and it just seems like they’ve been linked with a lot of players right now,” said O’Rourke [GiveMeSport].
“So, it’ll all depend on who van Bronckhorst sees as the best fit for his side going forward.”
Rangers urgently need to strengthen key position
During the embryonic stages of the Dutchman’s reign, Ianis Hagi has featured out on the right-hand side for the club, but this is a role that the Romanian isn’t as effective in.
His lack of pace and creative talents mean he is more comfortable in the middle of the park and with the manager tweaking the tactical system since he arrived, it has meant that a move for a highly effective right-winger is crucial if we aim to keep up the momentum and retain the title.
Van Bronckhorst has the trust of the Ibrox support, the majority of fans would rather the process was thought out and planned as opposed to just jumping at the chance to sign the first person that could play the role.

It will be interesting to see if he and Ross Wilson can work their magic as the clock counts down.
Meanwhile, the club look resigned to losing Connor Goldson amid recent English interest in the defender.
