Just after Rangers officially release the club’s third kit for next season, the away jersey appears to have leaked on social media.
Doing the round on forums and elsewhere, the tagged jersey looks like a red and white Castore throwback to the famous Admiral away kit of 1987-1990.
Predominantly white with an off-centre red section at the bottom of the jersey, the leak has certainly polarised fans with some liking the concept and others not so sure.
Castore have undoubtedly transformed the Ibrox side’s retail operations after years in the darkness under Sport Direct but the brand continues to split the support.
If it isn’t design it’s in sizing and quality or some other related issue but despite the very prominent groans there is no doubt, financially it has been a huge success and this is down purely to fans snapping the jerseys up.
Rangers away kit leak comes after new home kit was accidentally sent out to fans
With this Rangers away kit leak it means that what are potentially images of all three jerseys are already out in circulation, with the club only launching one.
Castore appeared to send out next season’s home shirt to a supporter who’d bought the special Weekend of Legends trophy kit.
The blue jersey has gone out a few times and it doesn’t take Colombo to work out that the chequered blue design is likely to be home top next season.
On top of this, Rangers sprung the club’s third kit release on the support this week amid fears the Gers would have to wear a changed top against Frankfurt in the Europa League Final.
Strict UEFA rules had plenty worrying the club won’t be playing in blue before this release, announced less than 24 hours before it went on sale, but this has since been dispelled by club insiders.
