Rangers fans everywhere are engaging in much debate regarding the club’s new kit with the stylish top polarising plenty when it comes to the finer detail.

But one such detail has left a major clue as to what’s to come this season as Castore name one of the Four Lads who had a Dream on the inside of the collar on the club’s home range.

Moses McNeil takes pride of place on a kit range which brings together plenty of the old and mixes it with the new in the kit that will be worn as Rangers turn 150.

The blue home kit – despite conjecture about the gold lettering – for me is an absolute beaut and it brings together those V-neck styles of the Jim Baxter days with the pinstripes of the 80s.

Castore have also done away with the five stars above the badge – moving them to the back of the neck – with a special commemorative banner placed below.

It’s a kit that grows on supporters with every passing glance and it’s already seen massive queues outside of Rangers Stores.

But what the addition of Moses McNeil alludes to – and whilst this is just conjecture – is that this is kit number one of four ahead of what promises to be an exciting season of releases.

Moses McNeil famously founded Rangers with brother Peter along with Peter Campbell and William McBeath back in 1872 in what is now known as Kelvingrove Park.

Little did they know then that the club would grow into amongst the biggest and most successful in global football and their names are the foundations on which the club was built.

So whilst Moses gets an early shout out with the stylish home kit, the other three lads who had a dream to start a football team may well get a shout out in the weeks and months to come.

Rangers fans went wild for the home kit upon its release as the promotional video included a guest appearance from a very special Ibrox character.
