Rangers have officially launched the club’s new home kit for their 150th year as fans queue outside Ibrox, in Glasgow & Belfast and online to get a jersey.
In the most hotly anticipated release in recent memory, the Gers launched the new home kit via a promotional video released on the club’s media channels.
🏡 New Season. New Home Kit. Forever Ready.
💙 Inspired by our history, the 21/22 season home kit proudly displays the limited-edition scroll crest in gold to honour the 150th anniversary.
— Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) June 26, 2021
With captain James Tavernier forming the focal point of the video, the marketing proudly exclaims “new season, new kit, same attitude, same again” as the club look to defend the title.
“Forever Ready” is also the cry with the club claiming the kit is “inspired by our history” with legendary kitman Jimmy Bell also included as he hangs it in the changing room.

The home kit itself is a stunning traditional Rangers blue with white cuffs and a white-collar very much in the retro style.
The pinstripes are also a throwback to Rangers tops of yore whilst the gold lettering on the crest and sponsorship has divided opinion amongst supporters.
There is also a celebratory crest – with a banner marking the club’s 150th anniversary – as the five stars are removed to the back of the shirt.
This release is undoubtedly going to be mega-popular amongst fans but it’s interesting to note that there has been something of a subdued approach to the release this week.
The news only sprung yesterday that the kit was set to be released – by way of a MyGers email – and fans have been kept somewhat in the dark all summer long.
Nonetheless, here’s how supporters reacted to the club’s official launch with many delighted to see the main man Jimmy Bell involved:

Few things. Big Kamara in this gives me feelings. Secondly we are heavy leaning into Patterson for this kind of stuff and I love it.
Thirdly, I love this kit. I love any rangers kit but this do be very nice. Castore have smashed the hole kit for this massive season imo https://t.co/DeYg27aJls
