Of all Rangers’ summer signings, Umar Sadiq had the least impact. Now, as quoted by the Daily Record, he has spoken out.
With just four appearances, he played little to no role in Rangers’ early season, before his deal was terminated early.

After heading back to parent club, AS Roma, though, it didn’t take him long to find another temporary home.
Perugia – in Serie B.
The mid-table side brought the Nigerian in to strengthen their reserves in forward areas and unlike at Rangers, he was thrown straight into the team.
Up until Wednesday, there had been nothing to shout about.
Finally, though, he broke an eleven month goal drought by netting a fine opener in the 3-2 win over Venezia.

“That was a very emotional goal for me”, said Sadiq,
“It’s been a difficult time for me at Rangers and starting again here at Perugia. But I never lost faith in my own ability.”
“I dedicate that goal to our fans and hope I can progress from here at the club.”
There’s no doubt Rangers made the right decision by terminating the 22-year-old’s loan.

Since then, they have brought in Jermain Defoe, who is obviously a massive upgrade.
Nonetheless, at least with these latest developments, the young man has a weight off his shoulders.
His spell at Rangers was swift and unimpressive, but there’s no need for hard feelings here.
