Andy Walker has given an assessment of Rangers whilst speaking to Sky Sports.
It’s fair to say many Bears feel the club have been hard done by in the media this season.

There have been accusations of bias left right and centre, especially around disciplinary incidents.
However, the former Celtic striker and regular Sky Sports commentator had some positive words for the Gers after the win over Hearts.
“Rangers played a lot of good football, their passing was excellent and their speed of play was excellent”, Walker told Sky Sports.
“They really blew Hearts away. That has to be encouraging.”

He then went on to discuss what to expect going forward under Steven Gerrard.
“I just think it’s important that the board at Rangers back him”, Walker continued.
“There are encouraging signs at Rangers. In general, the football has been a lot better than in previous years…I think under Steven Gerrard Rangers are still box office, I still think he can attract players to the club and it will be interesting to see how much backing he gets in the summer.”

Verdict
It’s refreshing to hear a pundit, never mind a former Celtic player, say something even vaguely positive about Rangers.
Wednesday saw a timely return for form and served as a reminder that the Gers aren’t too far away.
Gerrard still has work to do and inconsistency needs to be ironed out. However, a handful of quality additions through the squad could see them get to where they need to be.
