Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has sent an emphatic Champions League message to his teammates – as La Liga giants Sevilla continue to monitor the forward’s situation.
The Colombian striker, 26, had to watch on back home in Glasgow after Giovanni van Bronckhorst took the decision to leave the unfit and out of sorts forward at home.

Morelos is working his way back from a five-month injury lay-off and the club have cited attitude and fitness issues as the reason why Alfredo never boarded the Rangers flight to Holland.
All of the talk before the game was dominated by Rangers leaving the Colombian behind with serious doubts surrounding the attacker’s future.
Sevilla linked with Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos
According to the Athletic – who provided a more in-depth look at the issues with Alfredo Morelos behind the scenes – Sevilla are monitoring the player’s situation.
However, this is with a view to moving for the striker on a pre-contract in January with Morelos’ contract in the final year.
Interestingly, the Spanish giants are potential Pot 2 opponents for Rangers in this afternoon’s draw.
The contract situation has been put on hold by the club but speaking after the victory over PSV, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst was clear that Morelos is still a part of the side.
“Morelos qualified for the Champions League as well,” said van Bronckhorst [Rangers].
“I think he is also proud to see his team-mates and club qualify for the biggest competition in the world.
“He is still a Rangers player and I will push him the way I can to get him fit and get the Morelos back we all want.”
The striker then took to social media to send congratulations to his Rangers teammates, proudly announcing the Gers are “my team”.
Time will tell if the decision to leave Morelos out will work out for everyone in the long-term, but for now it’s clear it has worked in van Bronckhorst’s favour.
It definitely doesn’t seem as if Alfredo Morelos’ time at Rangers is up just yet, even with those links to Sevilla.
Leaving Rangers’ all-time top European goalscorer behind was always going to be controversial but the Ibrox management team and players have come up trumps yet again.
Antonio Colak – now with five goals in six games for the club – was the hero as Rangers won 1-0 in Eindhoven and reached the Champions League for the first time in 12 years.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the group stage draw and it’s clearly up to Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos whether or not he is going to be involved in those matches.
Meanwhile, Rangers have been handed a transfer boost regarding one key performer from the match with one team of potential suitors reportedly looking elsewhere.
