Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has sent a tweet to supporters after the Finnish international star agreed a new deal at Ibrox.
The former Arsenal Academy star and Dundee midfielder is one of the Gers’ most prized assets and by signing the deal until 2025 it puts an end to immediate speculation regarding the player’s future.
Kamara, 25, has been linked to the likes of Everton, Brighton and Arsenal south of the border and this move strengthens Rangers’ position with the player.
Prior to signing the deal, Kamara was on reduced terms and his contract was set to expire in 2023.
Rangers can now demand the top dollar the player is worth and by signing Kamara down protect their interests when it comes to the Finnish star, who shone for his country at Euro 2020.
The player has previously spoke to RangersTV about signing the deal and admits committing himself to Ibrox for another four years “just made sense”.
“The stature of the club is massive and I have had a great time since I have come here and I have really enjoyed it,” said Kamara.
“The fans, the manager, the players and the staff have all made me feel welcome and it just made sense to me and I am happy I have done it.
“I have gone on to play for my country loads of times and getting the opportunity to play in the likes of the Europa League has been great and lifting a title too.
“Hopefully, there are more to come. I wish the fans were in last year, but it was great and you could tell just how big a club this is [with the reaction].

“I think the fans remind you of that every day when you see them or see online. We just want to bring more silverware to this club and hopefully we can do that.”
Kamara is a key member of the Rangers side and has already made 11 appearances for the club this season with his attributes unique to the squad and key to our style of play.
Glen is a fan favourite at Ibrox and supporters were delighted to see him sign on the dotted line at the club last week.
