Rangers are all set to take on Kilmarnock in a fifth round Scottish Cup replay this evening, but they won’t be doing so in front of a full house.
Here’s how ticket sales are looking ahead of what Andy Halliday described as the biggest game of the season.
There is availability right around the ground.
In particular, it looks as though the Club Deck will be pretty sparse.
For any normal club trying to fill a 50,000-seater stadium, that may be commonplace.
Yet, Rangers have regularly sold out Ibrox this season. Furthermore, there is a thought that the stadium capacity should actually be increased in order to cope with demand.

However, the lack of sales here cannot be blamed on the fans.
At £27, ticket prices are extortionate for a mid-week Cup replay.
Fans travelled in their numbers to see the initial tie and were met with an uninspiring display at Rugby Park.

It’s not their fault this has went to a replay, yet, if they want to support their team, they need to stump up once more.

It’s a bonus fixture for the club, so surely price cuts would have been advisable.
It seems that they may have realised the error of their ways, by announcing that tickets will be available at the gate.
Of course, though, there has been no price adjustment.
Sales may surge today, but for now, it’s clear the fans are not happy.
