It had previously been thought that Rangers would find out all these details at the same time.

However, it’s now clear that the draws for QR1 and QR2 will take place on separate days.

At 2:30 pm on Tuesday 18 June, the first round draw will commence at UEFA HQ in Nyon.

Then, club representatives will reconvene on Wednesday 19 June at 1 pm for the second round draw.

Regardless of who the Gers draw in QR1, the two legs of that tie will take place on Thursday 11 July and Thursday 18 July.

As they are seeded for both draws, Steven Gerrard’s team have some protection. Even though big clubs like Roma, Wolves and Eintracht Frankfurt enter at the second stage, they Gers cannot be drawn against them.

Based on the UEFA club coefficient as published by Kassiesa, we have profiled some of Rangers’ possible opponents.

Here are the three most favourable and three least favourable QR1 draws. Meanwhile, here are the three easiest and three hardest potential QR2 draws.

It’s also possible that the Gers could get a chance to exact revenge on the side who humiliated them in 2017.

Couldn’t be simpler really!
