Rangers will find out their fate in terms of Europa League Qualifying Round 1 and 2 opponents on 19 June.
So far, we’ve covered the three best and worst possible QR1 draws they could receive and the three toughest possible QR2 draws, based on the UEFA coefficient (as published by Kassiesa).
We will now look at three favourable potential draws for QR2 from teams entering the competition at that stage.
A reminder Rangers have a score of 5.250 and take up the final seeding spot for QR2. Therefore, they can only face unseeded teams in the opening two rounds.
Levadia Tallinn (3.250)
Levadia are the joint lowest ranked side entering the competition at QR2. They qualified by virtue of finishing second in the 2018 Estonian Meistriliiga, ending the campaign two points shy of Nomme Kalju [Soccerway]. As the Meistriliiga runs through the summer, they will be mid-season when the Qualifiers begin. Last season, they lost 3-1 on aggregate to Dundalk in QR1. They operate out of the 5000 capacity Kadriorg Staadion, which was formely used by the national team.
Buducnost Podgorica (3.250)
Buducnost ended the 2018-19 Montenegrin First League in second place, coming runners-up to Sujetska [Soccerway]. They play their home matches at the 15,000 capacity Podgorica City Stadium in the country’s capital. They crashed out in QR1 last season, losing 3-1 to Slovakian side Trencin.
FK Riteriai (3.250)
Riteriai is the new name for this Lithuanian club who came third in the 2018 A Lyga as FK Trakai [Soccerway]. Since then, they have relocated to Vilnius and play their home games on an artificial surface in the 5000 capacity LFF Stadium, used by the national team. They made it to QR2 last season, before narrowly missing out to the much more esteemed Partizan Belgrade.
Other notable unseeded teams entering the competition at this stage include CSKA Sofia, Maccabi Haifa, Olimpija Ljubljana, and Dinamo Tbilisi.
