George Edmundson has cleared up the mystery surrounding photos of him in a Rangers kit as a boy with a superb response to a club tweet.
On Sunday evening, the Rangers Twitter account posted two photos of a young boy wearing a Gers away kit and asked fans to work out which member of the current first-team squad was pictured.
A few hours later, 22-year-old Edmundson was revealed to be the player in question.
👇 It was indeed The Fridge!
👏 Well done to everyone who correctly guessed that it was @georgedmundson4. https://t.co/mfyIZDGtFU pic.twitter.com/EzS6847tS3

It came as a pleasant surprise for many Bears, given that the centre-back is English, only signed for the club from Oldham Atheltic last summer, and hadn’t previously spoken openly of growing up a Rangers fan.

The confusion was largely cleared up by the big defender on Monday afternoon, though.
He responded to the club tweet with a series of photos, writing ‘Rangers runs in the family’ followed by the bear, football and Union Jack emojis.
In addition to the two photos of him opening presents in full kit, he included a picture of a relative, most likely his father, wearing a retro Rangers tracksuit.

Unsurprisingly, this went down extremely well with Bears with the tweet racking up over 4000 likes and many fans proclaiming new-found love for the player.
He’s kept it quiet for some time, but it seems the 6ft 3″ defender’s links to the club go way back.
