Romanian talent Alexi Pitu has been out discussing a potential move to Rangers and a potential reunion with Ibrox playmaker Ianis Hagi.
But before Gers fans start thinking that this could be the January European signing alluded to by Michael Beale, the 20-year-old winger has appeared to rule himself out of a winter switch.

That’s with Alexi Pitu’s team Farul Constanta – the side owned and operated by Gheorghe Hagi – currently top of the Romanian Liga I and the winger determined to lift the title with the side.
Rangers boss Beale has previously talked up signings coming in from “Premier League clubs or clubs around Europe”.

The comments of Alexi Pitu come after Football Transfers claimed that the winger was interesting Rangers and a host of British clubs last week.

This report would then spread on social media with the links to Rangers of particular interest given Pitu’s links to Gheorghe Hagi and Ibrox star Ianis.
Speaking directly about the reports, Alexi Pitu talked up a move to Rangers and a link-up with his former teammate, but played down a winter move due to Farul Constanta’s fine form.
“Yes I would very much love to play with Ianis again, but first I want to win the title with Farul Constanta,” said Alexi Pitu.
“I focus on football, I do my training and in the matches, I try to give my best. I understand the interest in playing with Ianis at Rangers and of course, it would be very nice.
“But I’m still a Farul player and I need to concentrate only on the important matches we have coming up this season.”
Alexi Pitu has five goals and five assists in 19 games this season, with Farul Constanta a solitary point clear of CFR Cluj at the top of Liga I.
Meanwhile, one former Rangers boss could be set for an international gig.
