Rangers academy graduate, Ross McCrorie, has been linked with Championship side Swansea City, this week.
The speculation comes after a spell of good form throughout December that culminated in an outstanding Old Firm performance.
The arrival of Steven Davis and the pre-contract agreement for Glen Kamara, ensures there will soon be plenty of options for Steven Gerrard in midfield.
Derby County’s Craig Bryson has also been linked with the club.
However, it seems that McCrorie is still very much part of the plans at Ibrox.
Gary McAllister heaped praise on the youngster yesterday. Importantly, he said he believes the midfielder has more to offer at the club.
“You have to remember he is still ever so young and he’s played quite a few games now, but there is still so much to come from Ross”, he told RangersTV
That’ll be music to the fans’ ears.
McCrorie is homegrown, which is always best kind of Rangers player.
He just gets on with his job, does it well and with a minimum of fuss.
As McAllister says, aged just 20, he has years ahead of him to use to improve.
The coaching staff clearly envisage a bright future at Ibrox for this young talent.
We can certainly see it too.
