After going to hospital to get it checked, he has reportedly been told to wear a protective boot.
If he misses any sustained period of matches, it would be a major blow for Rangers.
After breaking back into the team during the first half of the season, the 27-year-old has been a near constant in the side.
Ross McCrorie is the closest like for like replacement for Jack.

However, any absence could also be beneficial for a January signing.
Such is Rangers’ wealth of resources in midfield at the minute, Steven Davis was left out of the squad against Aberdeen.
That’s an international captain with 107 caps and 306 Premier League appearances.
Truth be told, he simply hasn’t made the impact many were expecting.
He’s not going to get up to speed without game time, though.
If there’s one less quality central midfielder to choose from, it can only help his chances.
First, he needs to get back in the squad. Then, to challenge for a starting berth.
At his best, he is a quality performer and that’s why Gerrard brought him back to Ibrox.
