Gerrard set to hand out a Rangers debut at Hamilton?

This weekend, Rangers travel to Hamilton, the side currently sitting second from bottom in the SPL.
Ahead of the game, Steven Gerrard has one major selection headache.
However, he may also choose to rotate in other areas.
The likes of Glen Kamara and Borna Barisic have played two games on the bounce, and could make way at New Douglas Park.

There is also potential for a Rangers debut.
Matt Polster signed a two-and-a-half year deal last month, becoming
the latest in a long line of American Gers.
However, he is yet to feature in the famous shirt.
The 25-year-old arrived well short of match fitness, having last played for Chicago Fire in October.

Therefore, it’s taken some time before he could be considered for selection.

Almost a month on, that time has surely now arrived.

Time for a cameo?

The right-back was named on the bench against St Johnstone at the weekend, and had the game panned out better, he may have got a run out near the end.
With the scores deadlocked, though, he wasn’t risked and didn’t make the squad to face Killie in midweek.
Still, there’s every chance he’ll travel on Sunday.
With the result all important, it’s highly unlikely that he would be thrown in from the start.

Yet, should Rangers be holding a comfortable lead, Gerrard may let him loose in the second half.

James Tavernier played almost every minute over the first half of the season. With Polster at the club now though, the skipper’s game time can be managed.
Here’s my predicted XI for Sunday’s game.
