There’s been plenty of fallout from Wednesday night’s disappointing result at Kilmarnock.
Rangers’ formation and centre-back partnership have come under scrutiny.
Yet, there was something else telling about the match day squad.
There was no Borna Barisic.

Earlier in the week, we speculated that Gerrard was unhappy with the summer signing.
He appeared to make a dig at him after Sunday’s friendly against HJK Helsinki, during which Barisic went down with an apparent injury.
“He had me worried because he tapped the ground about 55 times”, the manager told RangersTV.
Gerrard then brushed aside questions concerning the Croatian’s fitness during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference,

“He’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with him”, Gerrard insisted.
Barisic missed much of the first half of the season through injury. With that in mind, it seems Gerrard is unhappy that he made a big deal out of nothing against Helsinki.
The ex-Liverpool man clearly thinks the left-back needs to toughen up.
Leaving him out of Wednesday’s squad, was a big call.
By including Halliday instead, Rangers lost out in terms of width and attacking qualities.

Gerrard would have known this was a loss to the side, but clearly, he felt he needed to make a point.
Will it be a one off? It’s hard to say at this point.
If the 26-year-old remains out of the fold against Livingston on Sunday, though, we’ll know there’s a serious issue between these two.
