Over the last two seasons, success has abounded for the Rangers Academy.
In 2018/19, a squad full of teenagers won the SPFL Reserve league, the U18s won the Scottish Youth Cup and the U17s became the first British team to secure the Alkass Cup.
So far this campaign, the Colts have beaten five senior teams to reach the Challenge Cup semi-final, the U18s hammered Celtic 5-0 in the Youth Cup and the U16s have won both the SuperCup NI and the Albim Cup in the Czech Republic.
The hope is that Rangers will soon be consistently producing homegrown talents good enough for the first team, and all of these successes suggest they are certainly doing something right.
Excellent results aren’t just being achieved in the older age-groups, where players have been signed from Premier League clubs or from overseas, either.

There’s dominance within younger age-groups too.
That was evidenced on Sunday when the U14s took on Hearts at the Hummel Training Centre.
Rangers youth squads continue to thrive as U14s trounce Hearts
In the morning game which preceded a thrilling victory for the U16s over Hibernian, the young Gers were far too strong for their opponents from Edinburgh.
Kerr Robertson opened the scoring for the Gers early on, before a brace from Rory Wilson ensured the hosts were cruising at 3-0 up by the interval.
Then, after a quiet start to the second period, three more players got their name on the scoresheet – Crispin McLean, Zander Hutton and Duncan Barlow.
This is yet another extremely impressive result and if the Gers can continue to sweep aside other Scottish clubs at all age levels, it suggests there’s big things to come in the future.
