Rangers U16s sealed a place in the semi-finals of the SuperCup NI by recording their third consecutive victory on Wednesday evening.
A third goal in three matches for Robbie Ure was enough to see off Global Premier Soccer, securing passage to the knockouts with a 100% record.
Earlier this week, the Young Gers demolished County Armagh, before dishing out a similar hammering to Bracknell Town a day later.
Rangers U16s face Tyrone
Following those impressive results, Brian Gilmour’s side are now two wins away from lifting silverware.
Their last four tie will take place this evening [Thursday] against local team County Tyrone. They reached the semis after a defeating Chilean club Colina 1-0.
Tonight’s tie will be a test for the young Gers, but they should be full of confidence after their group stage performances. They’ve scored 13 goals and conceded just once in three matches so far, and will be hoping to continue in a similar vein, in order to book a spot in the final.
The SuperCup, formerly known at the Milk Cup, is a highly prestigious tournament and it would be a coup for the club if they could secure the Junior Section title.
Tonight’s game is being held at The Showgrounds in Coleraine, kicking off at 7:30.
