Rangers have this week announced the signing of youth midfielder Christian Mulindwa as the Gers continue to strengthen their academy prospects.
Announcing the move via social media, Mulindwa will join the club’s U18s team until the summer of 2023.
The young Ugandan star will now set about leaving an impression on the Ibrox side’s youth set-up as Rangers continue to invest in the club’s future.
Christian Mulindwa joins Rangers from the Cre8tive Football Academy and has been described as a 17-year-old midfielder who is good with both feet.
On their official Instagram account, the Academy describes the midfielder as “highly sought-after” and one of his former coaches waxed lyrical about his ability.
“Christian is an intelligent, well-mannered, and hardworking young man and we are all so proud of what he has achieved,” claims one of his former coaches.
“Gifted with 2 good feet and great technical ability, we believe Christian has all the tools to go all the way.”
Christian Mulindwa joins Rangers
Believed to have been at the club for a while, Christian Mulindwa has clearly impressed the Ibrox coaches and let’s hope his move to Rangers is a positive one for all parties.
Whilst not a lot is known about the kid, images online show that he was once attached to now Premier League Brentford.
Rangers have taken sizeable strides in their Academy set-up over the years and the move for Christian Mulindwa is the latest in a series of new signings for the young team.
But what’s most important is these players making a breakthrough to the top side and in the last few years we’ve seen several Ibrox youth stars given a chance.

Nathan Patterson heads the list, but the likes of Alex Lowry, Charlie McCann and Leon King have also been involved in recent seasons.
Meanwhile, a clip of Rangers fans celebrating in the Celtic end at Hampden has gone viral on social media.
