The Rangers blogger who runs the popular Rangers Youth Updates Twitter account has weighed in on transfer speculation surrounding Leon King.
The Daily Record reports that 15-year-old King has rejected an initial contract offer from the Gers.
As he approaches his 16th birthday, it’s said that Premier League clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are all circling, as are Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

As the go-to expert on all things Rangers Academy, SpatestonBear2 has clearly been inundated with requests for updates on the youngster’s situation.
On Sunday morning, he responded with an initial tweet and then a series of replies to further questions.

There are no details of the specifics of the youngster’s contract negotiations or of the clubs interested in him, but there does seem to be an acceptance that the links to top Premier League clubs are genuine.
Given how highly thought of King is, most Bears would want him to stay, but if he really is a cut above, it would be hard to criticise him for opting to go to a top English club who can boast superior financial clout and the very best facilities.
King is a player used to testing himself, as an already established part of the Gers U18s and Scotland U17s setups, despite his age.
As we move closer to January, there are sure to be more twists in this one, as multiple clubs, including Rangers, vie for this prospect’s signature.
