Rangers B striker talent and former Blackpool forward Tony Weston will head out on loan to Partick Thistle next season with the Gers having a recall option on the player after six months.
The Ibrox side announced the move via social media with the 18-year-old striker set to turn out in the Scottish Championship next season after an impressive season in the Lowland League.
Prolific striker Weston netted 21 goals in the Scottish fifth tier and the move to Thistle represents a sizeable jump to the second division of the Scottish footballing pyramid.

It’s the latest in a series of loans between Ibrox and Firhill and Thistle manager Ian McCall believes that Tony Weston can have a goalscoring impact in north Glasgow.
“We’ve been looking for another striker to add to our group and we’re very happy to welcome Tony to the club,” said McCall [PTFC].
“The numbers tell you that he knows where the back of the net is and at just 18, he’ll be keen to come here and impress.
“He certainly offers something completely different to Brian Graham and Anton Dowds. He’s got a bit more pace and agility and I think we need to have that option in the squad.
“It’ll be a step up for him, without a doubt, but I believe he’ll be able to adapt and be an important player for us.”
Rangers have a good relationship with their north Glasgow neighbours and as Partick aim for Premiership promotion the link ups continue between both clubs.

Rangers know that their youngest talent can get experience at a higher level of football whilst Partick Thistle get the opportunity to use some of the Gers’ brightest talents.
The move for Tony Weston also comes amid Partick Thistle loan links to another youngster in the Rangers squad.
The Jags signed Lewis Mayo, Juan Alegria and Andy Firth on loan last season and according to reports are the favourites to land Ibrox debutant Cole McKinnon this campaign.
