James Graham compares Rangers setup to Liverpool and United's after Ibrox transfer

James Graham claims the facilities at Rangers are on a par with Liverpool and Manchester United’s and says he’s delighted to be at Ibrox, as quoted by Rangers.co.uk.

The 16-year-old striker joined the Gers in June from Ross County for a reported £45,000 [Daily Record].

When announcing the signing, the club claimed that they had fended off interest from a number of English sides [Rangers.co.uk], with Graham previously having trialled at both Liverpool and Manchester United.

As a Gers supporter, Ibrox always held an added lure for the player, though, and he says there’s no disparity between the facilities at the Rangers Training Centre and those of the top Premier League clubs.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

“Signing for such a massive team like Rangers is a brilliant feeling,” Graham told Rangers.co.uk. “It is a dream come true to join and I hope to do myself and my family proud.”

“The facilities at the club are brilliant. I’ve been to Liverpool and Manchester United on trial and the facilities here are right up there with the best teams in the world. Rangers is a massive club with a long history and I was delighted to join.

“It’s a dream to play for such a big club but to be a Rangers fan as well it gives you a wee bit extra. It is such a good feeling and I can’t wait for the season to begin.”

New arrival James Graham expresses delight at Rangers move – Verdict

Graham is the third exciting new Academy player to be interviewed in the last few days about his early experiences at the club, with supporters previously hearing from Tony Weston and Charlie Lindsay.

As he is a fan, it’s clear that the affiliation with Rangers is already there and his comments suggest he’s very well aware of the scale of the club he has joined.

Graham scored regularly at youth team level for the Staggies last season and while the trials at Liverpool and United may not have turned into contract offers, he clearly believes he has everything he needs at Rangers to maximise his potential.

With Academy training now back underway and exciting B team plans in the pipeline, soon there should be matches for Graham, Weston and Lindsay to feature in, so they can begin to make their mark at the club.
