Tony Weston, the young attacker who reportedly snubbed Leeds United and Everton to join Rangers earlier this summer, has raved about his new club, as quoted by Rangers.co.uk.
The Scottish Sun reported back in March that the Toffees and the Whites were both interested in snapping up Weston from Blackpool after a proposed move to Southampton fell through.

However, it was the Gers who eventually won the transfer battle, announcing the player’s signing in July [Rangers.co.uk].
With the club’s Academy having recently returned to training, Weston has finally been able to get to work at the Rangers Training Centre and it seems he’s impressed by all aspects of the club.
“I spoke to ex-Rangers striker Ryan Hardie about the club when I was at Blackpool and he told me great things,” he said, as quoted by Rangers.co.uk. “He told me this is a great club and the facilities and coaches are amazing and he is right.”
“When I first got up here I could see that for myself. I’ve also seen Ibrox now and it’s an amazing stadium. The Trophy Room in incredible and shows you what a successful club this really is.”

Weston only turns 17 this month but he made his senior debut for Blackpool in the FA Cup last season and although he’ll be starting off in the youth ranks at Ibrox, he wants to make it big.
“The end goal for me is to break into the Rangers first team but I have to be realistic and patient and work as hard as I can every day at the Academy,” he continued.
“I know there is a lot of expectation and high hopes for me at the club so I want to work as hard as possible and keep learning from the coaching staff and players.”
Weston raves about Rangers after snubbing Everton and Leeds United – Verdict
It’s encouraging to see that Rangers managed to attract such a highly-rated player to the club even though multiple top English teams showed an interest.
Weston certainly seems pleased with his decision having completed the life-changing move up to Glasgow and now that training has resumed, the hard work can finally begin.
He comes across as focused and ambitious and perhaps he will eventually go where others have failed in recent years, by making the leap from the Academy system to becoming a first-team regular.
