Cho Gue-sung has outlined his desire to secure a summer transfer amid rumours of a move to Rangers earlier this year.
Rangers have secured a new attacking addition with Sam Lammers completing his move from Atalanta.
Michael Beale still needs more firepower though, especially with Lammers struggling for goals in recent years.
One name thought to be on the Rangers wish list earlier this year was Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors hitman Cho Gue-sung.
Cho impressed at the World Cup in Qatar, burying two superb headers for South Korea against Ghana.
Cho’s displays sparked interest and The Sun’s Alan Nixon claimed that Rangers were pushing harder than Celtic to sign him.
It was suggested that Cho would be able to move for around £3million in January but no deal was done.
If Rangers really were chasing Cho in January, then he will surely still be on the radar now – and he seems keen to move on.

Cho Gue-sung comments on his future amid Rangers rumours
Cho has spoken to South Korean journalist Steve Han about his future and a potential move this summer.
The 25-year-old admitted that he wants a move to Europe this summer and is ‘preparing’ to leave South Korea.
Cho doesn’t know his next club just yet though and is waiting patiently to figure out a potential transfer.
“The transfer window is not open yet. Of course I want a move to Europe this summer,” said Cho. “I’m preparing for it. It’s undecided which team I would be joining, because I haven’t received a clear offer yet. I should prepare patiently, and good news will come,” he added.
Rangers are chasing another striker in Cyriel Dessers, but face paying more than £4million for a player with limited resale value.
Dessers has the goalscoring ability to make an instant impact but somebody like Cho should be considered too.
A physical forward at 6ft 2in tall, Cho has been prolific for Jeonbuk with 20 goals in 55 outings.
There is scope for Cho to get even better and the way he caused problems at the World Cup was a perfect showcase of his talent.
£3million is a decent price and with Cho keen to move on, Rangers should at least consider going back in for him.
