Rangers are poised for transfer interest regarding Glen Kamara, but if one club heavily linked to the midfielder in Watford are serious, there better be no repeat of an unsettling offer for a Premiership rival.
Watford are one of several clubs reportedly tailing Ibrox midfielder Glen, the talented Finnish international continuing to impress with his country at Euro 2020.
Claims the Hornets could move for Kamara have intensified in recent days after Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari tweeted about the Premier League new boys opening a dialogue with Rangers.
This came after Graeme Bailey of the Mirror had suggested Arsenal were keeping tabs on the situation surrounding the midfielder.
However whilst Kamara’s future remains up in the air, the reported interest comes after Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson handed in a transfer request following a summer bid from Vicarage Road.
This is where things get interesting.
Aberdeen resoundingly kicked the bid into touch claiming that the fee offered by Watford was “insulting” and rejecting Lewis’ bid to exit the club.
Reported to be around £2m [Scottish Sun], this represents a meagre effort to bring the player to the Premier League and despite Aberdeen being our rivals, we’ve got to agree.
Either put up or shut up.
Should there be any suggestion of stingy practice when it comes to Kamara then the Rangers board and directorate know exactly what to do.

If Watford are serious about signing Glen, then they will need to put the appropriate resources under the nose of the Ibrox club.
How much will that be? Rangers will have a price in mind – and you can bet it’s higher than the fee touted by one European director who claims they almost signed the player last summer.
