Reported Rangers target Danilo nets in a pre-season friendly with Feyenoord to show exactly why the Ibrox club are interested – and why the Dutch side could value the player up to £7m.
Brazilian striker Danilo started for Feyenoord in their eventual 3-1 win over PEC Zwolle, the 24-year-old striker finding the back of net with the opening goal in the match.

The former Ajax forward controlled the ball expertly on his chest from a chipped through pass before rounding the keeper and finishing smartly into the bottom far corner.
You can watch the goal about two minutes into Feyenoord’s official YouTube coverage of the match below, with Ezequiel Ballaude scoring to double the Eredivisie champions’ lead before half-time and before Danilo made way at the break.
Apostolos Vellios would pull one back for PEC Zwolle in the second half before Yankuba Minteh completed the scoring for Feyenoord from the penalty spot.
Rangers fans will have one eye on what happens with Danilo over the course of the summer after reports the Gers had a £3.5m bid rejected for the striker earlier in the window.
Back then there were claims that Feyenoord rated the striker at double that figure but there have been claims that the Dutch club have budged on that asking price.
Danilo scores for Feyenoord amid ‘Rangers bid’
Whilst Danilo is still regarded as a Rangers target, the club is believed to have put interest in the Feyenoord striker on the backburner following the signing of Cyriel Dessers.
As detailed by Heart & Hand host David Edgar in the week, Rangers are more concerned with moving bodies out of a bloated squad than completing this deal for now.
“Another player who has been linked with a move to Rangers recently is Danilo, with some contrasting reports in the media with regards to that,” said David Edgar on the platform’s Daily Update for 4th July.
“Some people in the media saying that it’s on the back burner for now and others saying that Rangers are getting ready to go in with another bid after their first one was rejected.

“My understanding is that it’s a little bit in the middle. Rangers would ideally like to shift a few players, understandably, you want to balance the books as we’re going on.
“But there is the understanding that the timings might not match up; that deals for players leaving the club may take a few more weeks to complete and ‘do you want to run the risk of losing the player whilst that’s going?’
“In an ideal world Rangers would sell a couple of players and then move on from there but it doesn’t always work like that.
“The interest in Danilo is very much real still, it is very much live, and Rangers will look to complete that deal but they do want to see a few players head out the door.”
Danilo played 48 times for Feyenoord last season, scoring 14 goals with ten of those coming in the Eredivisie as the Dutch club lifted the title.
