According to the Daily Record, at least three Premiership clubs are interested in signing Rangers fringe player Matt Polster during the winter transfer window.
The 26-year-old signed for the Gers in January 2019 on a two-and-a-half-year contract but has barely featured under Steven Gerrard.

Capable of playing at full-back and in midfield, he has a solitary cap for the United States but has been unable to oust the likes of James Tavernier and Glen Kamara from the Gers XI.
Polster has made just four appearances this season, with only two of those coming from the start.
We had recently suggested that his lack of game time could prompt a return to former club, Chicago Fire. Yet, this latest report has claimed that the player would prefer to stay in Scotland over a return to his homeland.

Verdict
The Scottish top-flight clubs supposedly interested in Polster have not yet been named and there’s no confirmation of whether bids are expected to be for loan or permanent moves.
Yet, with Steven Gerrard previously asserting that this window will be used to trim an oversized Gers squad [Scottish Herald], Polster is certainly one of those who the club could afford to move on.
Given that he’s yet to start a Premiership match for Rangers, it’s unlikely he’ll be called upon over the second half of the season, and as long as he isn’t snapped up by a direct rival, he should be allowed to continue his efforts to make it in Scotland.
If the Gers could bring in a reasonable fee for the player, that would make a transfer even more agreeable.
Polster is one of several players we tipped to leave in a January Transfer Window Preview over on our YouTube Channel.
