Former Rangers defender Kyle Bradley has signed for Lowland League club Pollok FC ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Bradley came through the Gers Academy and made his first-team debut as a teenager in May 2017, coming off the bench in a Premiership fixture against St Johnstone.

The promising young defender then headed out to Clyde and Annan Athletic for loan spells, but didn’t quite do enough to earn a contract extension at Ibrox.

He was released in the summer of 2019 and joined Annan for a season, before moving to East Kilbride in October 2020.

Kilby’s 2020/21 campaign was heavily impacted by the pandemic, so Bradley hasn’t played much football since his departure from Annan.

However, he’s been picked up by Pollok ahead of the 2021/22 season and their manager, Murdie MacKinnon, is delighted with the swoop.

“We’re pleased to get the signing of Kyle Bradley over the line,” he said [Pollokfc.com].

“Kyle comes with an excellent pedigree. Having made his first-team debut at Rangers before moving onto playing in the SPFL with Annan. He is extremely comfortable on the ball as reads the game really well.

“Adding quality players like Kyle only improves our squad. It gives us real competition for places in defence. We are really looking forward to seeing him play in the Pollok shirt.”

Bradley isn’t the only former Ger who’ll be playing in the Lowland League next season.

Gregg Wylde has joined East Kilbride after a short stint with East Stirlingshire.

The 30-year-old winger won a league title and league cup at Rangers before leaving in 2012 and subsequently representing a host of other clubs such as St Mirren, Plymouth Argyle and Millwall.

Meanwhile, there’s trouble brewing at Rangers after a £9m-valued player’s latest strong comments.
