Galatasaray have lined up Argentina international left-back Nicolas Tagliafico as a potential alternative to Rangers star Ridvan Yilmaz.
The Turkish giants are also said to be considering a move for Boca Juniors option Frank Fabra should their much publicised interest in the Rangers full-back fall apart.
Galatasaray have been strongly linked with a move for Ridvan Yilmaz for the entire transfer window with reports suggesting Rangers have even turned a bid down.
Whilst Rangers boss Philippe Clement has been clear every player has his price, the latest suggests Gala have other options waiting in the wings should they fail to meet the Ibrox side’s demands.
Galatasaray have Ridvan Yilmaz alternatives
At least this is according to Turkish outlet Aksam, who are also claiming that Ridvan Yilmaz wants a return to Turkey.
The Gers signed the 22-year-old left-back from Besiktas 18 months ago and – until recently – he had a initially struggled to impress frustrated supporters.
Reports have suggested Rangers could demand up to €6m (£5m) for the left-back in this window, a fee Galatasaray are clearly reluctant to pay as things stand.
Argentina World Cup winner Nicolas Tagliafico – the former Ajax left-back who is now at Lyon – and Colombian Frank Fabra – a highly-rated young prospect who plays in Argentina with Boca – pose interesting alternatives.
But before Galatasaray move on to these targets, it’s said they’re trying to break Rangers’ resolve and get them to lower their Ridvan Yilmaz asking price.
Rangers refuse to shift transfer demands
As Rangers look to improve their much maligned and at times non-existent player trading model, gone are the days of cheap deals being struck with the Ibrox club.
The Gers have revamped their recruitment department in the summer and will have transfer valuations of every player in the squad.
Until these valuations are met, no player will be sold with Ridvan Yilmaz the point in case for Nils Koppen and co in this transfer window.

For Galatasaray – who’ve just banked £25m from the sale of Sacha Boey to Bayern – it’s very simple indeed.
They can either cough up and pay Rangers for Ridvan Yilmaz, or move on to their other two targets.
Rangers meanwhile continue to be linked to Brazilian left-back Jefte as a potential replacement.
