Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has provided an exciting transfer update for Bears.
He passed on the news, via Steven Gerrard, that Joe Aribo underwent his Rangers medical today.
Not only that but if all goes well, he could soon join the extended first-team squad for pre-season training in Portugal.

While we know Gerrard addressed his future in an interview with Sky Sports News, we don’t have the exact wording of his comments on Aribo.
Yet, it seems this one is finally on the verge of being sewn up.
That signals bad news for multiple other clubs throughout the UK and mainland Europe. In total, 17 other teams were credited with an interest in Aribo [Scottish Sun], showing just how highly rated the 22-year-old is.

He turned out 39 times for Charlton in League One last season, scoring ten times.

It’s that goal threat which might have the Gers support base most excited. Stevie G has plenty of options in midfield right now, but the only regular goalscorer amongst them is Scott Arfield.
The Canadian skipper thrived in a more advanced role during the final weeks of the season and Aribo could offer further dynamism in that area of the pitch.

With so many interested parties sniffing around, it’s crucial to get this deal done as soon as possible.
Therefore, let’s hope all goes smoothly with today’s testing. If it does, who knows, we could have yet another confirmed summer signing on our hands tomorrow.
