Rangers went in a different direction with recruitment in January, with Fabio Silva the first of three young, dynamic and exciting signings.
Gers boss Philippe Clement would have loved to sign the 21-year old forward on a permanent deal but had to make do with adding him to his squad on a temporary basis.
After scoring his first Rangers goal at Ibrox, Fabio Silva is starting to show what he is capable of, with his father and agent, Jorge, explaining why an extended stay might not be out of the question, as reported by Mail Sport.

Rangers could see Fabio Silva return next season
With Cyriel Dessers and Danilo on the payroll for the foreseeable future, it is unlikely that another big money striker will be signed in the summer.
There will though, be space for another in the summer with Kemar Roofe’s contract expiring in a few months’ time.
Quality comes at a price so another loan move for Silva might not be a bad idea if he does well, with his dad claiming that this, or a permanent move, could be a possibility:
“We have a long contract with Wolves but Fabio has to settle down somewhere. Is there a possibility of Fabio staying at Rangers next season if he does well, even on loan? I think so, yes. Listen, in four months many things can happen.
“But I hope Rangers can be champions this season which would be amazing for the club and also for Fabio.
“To play in the Champions League, that’s something Fabio has desired so much. He needs continuity in his career now. If Rangers are happy with him – and obviously the last word will be with Wolves – why not?”
When Rangers signed Fabio Silva it was a real statement of intent.
After all, it’s not often players with £35m price tags are seen at Dumbarton.
What Silva has shown is a high level of technical ability that could prove useful as he gets up to speed.
He has to prove that his goal against Livingston isn’t a one off and follow it up in big games now.
Abdallah Sima has become a fans’ favourite and if Silva can repeat the Senegal international’s goal scoring return from the first half of the season, the calls to take up his dad’s offer might grow that little bit louder.
