If there’s anything that sums up the last few seasons for Ryan Jack at Rangers, it’s the fact the midfielder is still without a club in September.
The Scotland international, who is now 32-years-old, left Rangers in the summer after seven seasons at Ibrox following a pre-contract switch from Aberdeen in 2017.
Part of the furniture at the Rangers Training Centre, since 2019 Ryan Jack has been plagued with injury issues which upset an initially promising Ibrox legacy and left him at odds with supporters.
Also part of a summer exodus which has stimulated much uncertainty in Govan, finally we’re hearing down the grapevine that Jacko might have an opportunity out East.

Ryan Jack has ‘official offer’ in Turkey
Ryan Jack is one of a number of big name players who left Rangers this summer.
The midfielder’s exit came alongside that of Kemar Roofe, Jon McLaughlin, Borna Barisic and John Lundstram; much to the dismay of Philippe Clement.
The Belgian manager has had to replace around 750 Rangers appearances on a shoestring budget with Jack making up 210 of them.
Connor Barron might’ve been snubbed on his maiden call-up to the Scotland squad but the 21-year-old is proving a perfectly able solution to Jack’s exit.
As for Ryan Jack, the midfielder has struggled to find himself a new home and he is still without a club over three months on from quitting Ibrox.
But that could be about to change.
According to Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün – who is a broadcast journalist with almost 350k followers on X and links to Turkish outlet Playspor – Ryan Jack is a wanted man in Turkey.
It’s being claimed that Turkish Super Lig side Erokspor have made an ‘official offer’ for Jack which could see him move to Istanbul.
Rangers midfielder drops Instagram transfer hint
Ryan Jack won’t be the first experienced former Rangers star to move to Turkey this year should he strike a deal with Erokspor.
Rangers pair Borna Barisic and John Lundstram moved to Turkish side Trabzonspor way back at the beginning of the summer.
Now, Ryan Jack could be facing off against them although there haven’t exactly been rave reviews for either Barisic or Lundstram in the Turkish media.
The midfielder has also dropped a big hint about his future on social media platform Instagram.
Sharing an image from inside a cafe in Turkey – along with an emoji of the Turkish flag – it certainly seems like the sounds around a move are legit.
Rangers fans will be wishing Ryan Jack all the best as he potentially prepares for a new adventure in Turkish football.
But there’s no escaping the fact that the latter part of the midfielder’s Ibrox career was one tinged with sadness as Jacko balanced the expectations at Ibrox, a Scotland career and those persistent calf injury problems.
