A report in the Scottish Sun this morning, claims that Ross McCrorie is subject to interest from Swansea City.
Swansea manager, Graham Potter, is said to be a big fan of the 20-year-old midfielder. It’s understood that he is a prime target for the Liberty Stadium outfit this month.
After struggling for fitness and game time in the early stages of the season, McCrorie has come into his own of late.
He impressed during Rangers’ Europa League exit in Vienna and hasn’t looked back since.
Last weekend, he banished the demons of a nervous Old Firm performance in 2017. While others took most of the praise after Saturday’s win, McCrorie was excellent in midfield.
He played like a man many years his senior and reads the game well. What’s more, he is versatile and can operate at centre-back.
Especially as an Academy graduate, Rangers will be desperate to fight off interested parties.
McCrorie is not only vital to the 2019 title challenge, but also to the Gers’ long-term plans.
This guy could be a future club captain.
Surely, Rangers will simply reject all offers for such an important performer. With the youngster contracted until 2022, there is certainly no danger that he will leave on the cheap.
