Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that City had received offers from both AZ Alkmaar and Westerlo for Mebude.
Romano has now added to that story by claiming that Westerlo have won the race for Mebude.
The Belgian side have reached an agreement over a permanent deal although the fee hasn’t yet been disclosed.
City will also hold a buy-back clause, meaning there could be a chance for Mebude to return to the Etihad Stadium one day.
A return to Rangers would have been exciting to witness and maybe the Gers will track his progress in Belgium.
