The Daily Record reports that Roma are ‘extremely keen’ on signing Kai Kennedy.
The attack-minded player caught the eye for the Rangers youth teams last season.
He was involved in the team which won the Scottish Youth Cup and was also a major contributor to the Alkass Cup winning side. Kennedy scored the winning penalty in the final against Roma in Qatar, before taking home the Player of the Tournament award.
At just 17, he is one of the most highly rated prospects at the club alongside the likes of Dapo Mebude and Josh McPake.
Kennedy is under contract until 2021, but it’s said that the Serie A giants hope to tempt him to Italy.
This isn’t the first time Roma have been linked with a rising Gers star, either. Last month, reports suggested they were also after talented young striker, Josh McPake [Daily Record].

It’s perhaps no surprise that a big club is after Kennedy, given his exploits in the Alkass Cup. It’s a truly international event with some giants of European football taking part.
Rangers will hope they can do enough to keep one of their stars of the future, though. The Gers are investing heavily in their youth section and picked up heaps of silverware last season.
Crucially, though, they have managed to establish a clear pathway from the youth ranks to the first team. The likes of Mebude, Serge Atakayi, and Stephen Kelly all made senior debuts last term.
While Kennedy is yet to make a senior appearance, hopefully, he can see that if he stays and keeps working hard, chances will eventually come for him at Ibrox.
