Robin Propper hasn’t had it easy since moving to Rangers in the summer.
The Dutch centre-back, 31, has taken his time getting used to the intensity of Scottish football and hasn’t been without his critics at Ibrox Stadium.
In the last few weeks, Robin Propper appears to have started getting used to both the expectations and challenges of life at Rangers.
But just as fans begin to warm to the centre-back, the defender is being tipped to make a return to one of the Netherlands’ biggest clubs.

Robin Propper moves to Rangers
Rangers paid a reported £2.7m to sign Robin Propper from FC Twente in the summer and the switch to Ibrox is the defender’s first foray outside of the Eredivisie.
Having started his career with De Graafschap, Propper spent five years with Heracles Almelo before a four year stint at FC Twente.
Rangers took advantage of a contract clause to pinch Propper under Twente’s nose, much to the dismay of the Champions League hopefuls’ directorate.
Robin Propper himself admits the move was ‘really weird’ and that he had ‘no plans to leave’ the Netherlands in the summer.
But only six months on from Propper moving to Rangers, the defender is already showing up on scouting networks back in the Netherlands.
Robin Propper recommended to Feyenoord
Football Transfers and journalist Imre Himmelbauer have singled out Robin Propper as a potential solution at centre-back for Eredivisie giants Feyenoord.
This comes with Feyenoord reportedly rejecting the advances of Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim for Austrian defender Gernot Trauner.
Trauner, 32, has played in all six of Feyenoord’s Champions League matches this season and even captained the team in the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Willem II.
Himmelbauer reckons that should Trauner move on from Feyenoord, then Robin Propper is an excellent replacement.
Backing up the suggestion with the use of sports science data, the report quotes SciSports’ Career Advice Tool which rates Propper a high 74 for Feyenoord, even with Trauner at the club.
Whilst there’s no official suggestion Propper is wanted by Feyenoord, if the Rangers defender is showing up on Himmelbauer’s scouting data then you can rest-assured he’ll be known to the team at De Kuip.
We certainly don’t expect the centre-back to go anywhere this month.
But depending on how the next six months pan out, Robin Propper could approach another transfer crossroads in the summer.
