Reported Rangers transfer target Kwadwo Baah is undergoing a medical at EFL Championship club Watford, according to The72.

Baah, who plays for Rochdale, was initially linked to Rangers by the Athletic back in January, who claimed the Gers were battling the likes of West Ham, Juventus, and Bayern Munich for the 18-year-old.

The Guardian later claimed that he had agreed a pre-contract deal with Man City and would move to the Etihad before heading back to Rochdale on loan for the 2021/22 season.

However, that deal fell through, reportedly due to a failed medical [The Telegraph] and the winger became available once again.

Ghana Soccernet claimed last month that Celtic had joined the Gers in the race to snap up Baah, but it appears that he won’t be joining either Old Firm club after all.

That’s because The72 reported on Wednesday afternoon that he is undergoing a medical at Watford.

It’s stated that should all go well with the medical, the teenager will join the Hornets in the summer when his current contract expires, with the Dale receiving a compensation fee.

Baah has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and notching two assists.

His numbers are far from spectacular, but it’s his searing pace and potential that have alerted such big clubs.

Watford secured promotion to the Premier League at the weekend, and that may well have influenced the reported Rangers target’s decision to move to Vicarage Road.

Steven Gerrard currently only really has two natural wide players in his first-team squad in Ryan Kent and Scott Wright, but many others are out on loan including Jordan Jones, Brandon Barker, Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake.

In other news, Rangers fans have expressed their disgust at a big decision made by the SPFL.
