Rangers manager Michael Beale is personally trying to convince Jonathan Panzo to move to Ibrox, according to a report.

According to The 4th Official, Rangers are interested in signing Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Rangers manager Michael Beale has “personally spoken with the defender a few times recently in order to sell Panzo on the project” at the Gers.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport that Rangers “still want Jonathan Panzo” and “are in conversation with the player side”, adding that “there is a concrete possibility”.

Could Rangers be able to sign Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest?

In our view, Rangers could be able to sign Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Earlier this month, there was a report saying that Rangers had made a £2.5 million bid for the left-sided centre-back.

The report in The Daily Record claimed that Rangers and Forest were in discussions over a move.

And now Beale is personally speaking to the 22-year-old English defender he coached at Chelsea and watched him several times last season during his loan spell at Coventry City from Forest.

Described as “an exciting young player who can play a couple of defensive roles” by Forest head coach Steve Cooper on the club’s official website in January 2022, Panzo would make Rangers better at the back.
