The chance of Ryan Kent leaving Rangers are rising as Burnley make contact to try and sign the winger on a free transfer.
Rangers fans probably knew that Kent was likely to be moving on this summer.
The former Liverpool winger is out of contract this summer and there has been little news on an extension.
The Scottish Sun reported over the weekend that Burnley would be scouting Kent in the coming weeks.
Vincent Kompany appears to be keen on Kent and the rumour is now gathering pace.
The Scottish Daily Mail (19/04, p68) report that Burnley have now made their move for Kent.
It’s suggested that Burnley have ‘declared their interest’ in Kent and seemingly made contact with his representatives.
There appears to be a strong chance of Kent heading back to England and Rangers must start planning for life without him.

Burnley have won promotion to the Premier League and may be looking to get a head start on their summer transfer plans.
Kent is now a prime target for Burnley despite a number of wingers – such as Manuel Benson and Anass Zaroury – already shining at Turf Moor.
Vincent Kompany may well be keen on Kent but that makes a move to Burnley seem a little risky.
Kompany is a man in demand with Tottenham Hotspur understood to be keen on the Belgian boss.
Kompany will of course have loyalty to Burnley and may want to stay for their return to the Premier League.
Tottenham would be difficult to turn down though and there is a chance that Kompany ends up leaving Turf Moor.
There could be a situation in which Kent agrees to join Burnley and the manager who wants him ends up moving on.
Kent may be better off biding his time and waiting to see what happens with Kompany’s future, but we currently can’t see him extending his stay at Ibrox.
