Rangers have been urged to step up reported interest in 17-year-old Motherwell talent Lennon Miller before itβs too late.
The Ibrox side were one of a whole host of clubs linked to Lennon Miller in November, with Old Firm rivals Celtic and a number of Premier League sides also mentioned.
Now, after Miller played his role in an impressive first-half Motherwell performance v Celtic, Charlie Mulgrew has urged either side of the Old Firm to get in now before itβs too late.
Charlie Mulgrew urges Rangers to sign Lennon Miller
Speaking after the game, Charlie Mulgrew told the Sky Sports panel that either Rangers or Celtic would be well served snapping up Lennon Miller sooner rather than later.
The ex-Celtic defender waxed lyrical about the youngster and itβs clear the 37-year-old expects big things from the Motherwell teenager in the years to come.
βYou see the effect he has on the game today,β Mulgrew told Sky Sportsβ live coverage of Motherwell v Celtic. βHeβs like a man the way he plays.
βHe is so clever. We see him asking for the keeper to take the goal kick up and flick it on like his dad (Lee Miller) used to do. What a player. Level-headed boy. Comes from a good family as well.
βIf I wasΒ CelticΒ orΒ RangersΒ I would sign him now and have him in the team. What a player he is.β
Motherwell teenager could haunt Old Firm
Despite his tender years, Lennon Miller teed up Blair Spittal for the opening goal in Motherwellβs eventual 3-1 Scottish Premiership defeat to Celtic, something which hasnβt gone unnoticed with Rangers fans.
The midfielder produced a stunning turn at the edge of the Celtic box before dribbling towards goal and teeing up a wonderful strike.
The young midfielder is certainly one for the future and should either side of the Old Firm come calling itβll present the kid with something of a dilemma.
Right now Lennon Miller is getting game-time at Motherwell but standing out for either Rangers or Celtic is a different story altogether.

At a time when UEFA homegrown quotas need to be filled β Miller is young enough to go on to be considered homegrown at club β a failure to strike a deal could come back to haunt either side.
Especially if Motherwellβs Lennon Miller is to choose Rangers or Celtic over a Premier League option and go on to be successful in Scotland.
The young midfielder has made 21 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side this season, scoring once.
