Rangers fans are probably expecting to be quiet in the remaining hours of the transfer window, however, there is still one position that fans would want to see.

Luis Palma, who has just signed for Celtic, was heavily linked with a move to the better side of Glasgow before the window even opened but nothing concrete ever materialised despite the forward claiming he has a choice.

A report by The 4th Official though has claimed that Rangers are still looking for a winger and that all elusive Ryan Kent replacement transfer.

No name has been mentioned but in a tantalising teaser, they claim:

“I have not heard anything new on wingers unfortunately despite being told for some time now that it’s happening, so let’s see what happens tomorrow (1st September).”

As well as Kent, Fashion Sakala has also departed and Michael Beale has learned the hard way that pace and the ability to beat players 1v1 remains a quality that good attacking teams need.

The Gers boss has almost been over complicating things and there is a good case for our best football being played when Rabbi Matondo and Abdallah Sima have been on the park at the same time.

What Rangers need is a player who instantly hits the ground running, one that, unquestionably, becomes the first name on the team sheet.

We thought we were getting that with Danilo but for some reason, Beale has been reluctant to play him from the start with Cyriel Dessers preferred instead.

There are tactical tweaks that need to be made to Rangers and having more width to the attack would be a good place to start, a last minute deadline day transfer would help too.

Beale might have started the transfer window strong, but he needs to close it with a bang too.
