Rangers have the option to buy Andreas Skov Olsen from Wolfsburg at the end of the season for £9m.
Skov Olsen moved to Ibrox in January, but has struggled to make a definitive impact domestically.
The 26-year-old has scored one goal and provided two assists in six games, but is still to justify why the Ibrox outfit should shell out such big money this summer.

Alex Rae does not expect Rangers to sign Andreas Skov Olsen permanently
Alex Rae believes that Rangers need to sign a quality right winger in the summer transfer window.
In his view, Skov Olsen is not the answer as the Ibrox outfit would have to shell out up to £9m in order to secure his services.
Based on what he has seen of him so far, he believes that it is a bit of a stretch, and if Wolfsburg will not reduce the asking rate, the Gers should look elsewhere.

The former Gers midfielder expects Danny Rohl to identify potential candidates to replace the on-loan Danish winger.
He told PLZ Soccer: “They most certainly need a right-sider. Is Olsen going to be that? Are they going to pay £8/9m based on what they’ve seen so far? That would be a bit of a stretch.
“So they still need that position ratified. He [Danny Rohl] will shake the bed sheets up if he feels these guys are not for us going forward. He’ll identify several new players for that and then it’s just a case of trying to build a squad.”

How much will Rangers spend in the summer?
The new Rangers owners have proven that they are willing to back the manager in the transfer market.
Spending over £12m in January on four new signings was previously unheard of, and the summer should be an even bigger window.
There is a possibility that with players leaving, either being sold or their deals running out, there will be more money available for the manager.
In all probability, the Ibrox outfit will spend between £20m and £25m on new signings, giving Rohl the best chance of winning the title.
That number could increase if they do win the league this year and qualify for the Champions League as well.
