Rangers are set to offer influential winger Ryan Kent a “lucrative” new deal ahead of next season – but will look to move the 25-year-old on if they cannot agree terms.

Football Insider are claiming that the Ibrox board have agreed to offer Ryan Kent a “lucrative” contract in a bid to convince him to sign on at Rangers.

Kenty has grown into a hugely talented, direct wing player at Ibrox and has been at the club ever since Steven Gerrard took charge in 2018.

Initially signed on loan from Premier League Liverpool, Ryan Kent would go sign a four-year deal at Rangers the following season with the Gers forking out a reported £7m [the Times].

Since joining Ryan Kent has gone from an inconsistent presence on the field to a big game player for the club and particularly in Europe and against Old Firm rivals Celtic has the winger excelled.

Playing 163 matches for the Gers, Kent has netted 30 goals for the Light Blues and added a further 43 assists.

With the winger set to enter the final year of his contract in the summer, Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has previously claimed talks between Rangers, Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo are imminent as both players run down their deals.

“No, I haven’t spoken with them about extending contracts,” said the Gers boss [The Rangers Review].

“That’s something the club will do in the near future so we just need to make sure we have the future well planned.

“Of course, these are players who are very important for our club so I think the talks will begin but with players of these qualities, you want to have them as long as possible.”

Rangers winger Ryan Kent was once again the difference maker against Red Star Belgrade as his goal helped the club into the quarter finals of the competition.
